Lincoln Court - 2020 (Sewell Construction)

This 'City of York Council' owned site is situated in a quiet part of Acomb in Kingsway West, York, is now completed. It is a managed sheltered housing complex in its own grounds, with easy access.

The original building has been fully refurbished with a new development in close proximity which adds 15 new, one bed apartments which will be dementia friendly. We have supplied and fitted all the new internal timber work, including new kitchens, new internal fire doors and door sets, throughout the refurbished building and the new build. In addition we supplied and installed the external cladding to the new build.

In total the two buildings provide 35 one-bedroomed apartments. Access to the first and second floor is by lift and stairs (with a stair lift on one staircase). Each apartment has stylish and spacious living room, double bedroom with an accessible shower room, along with a fully fitted kitchen fitted with aceramic hob, extractor fan and built in oven. Each apartment is heated by a gas-fired communal heating, with thermostatically-controlled, low surface temperature radiators. In additon 'Lincoln Court' has a large communal lounge and dining area available for a range of activities for residents and the local community.
